“Spring Goddess” Framed Artwork
This piece of art was actually an advertisement for a “health” food product in the early 1900s. I love how it was framed and is surrounded by a shiny gold mat! I like to call her a springtime goddess, and I think she is the perfect addition to your springtime decor! It is in good antique condition.
The original advertisement was released from a company called A. C. McCardell, which was a wholesale confectionary company located in Frederick, MD and was owned by Adrian C. McCardell (1845-1932). He sold a variety of sugary products, though this item focused on "health" benefits. Ingredients included Pear Phosphates for impaired vitality, chocolate for nourishing and refreshment, Moxie for weakened energy, and Sarsaparilla for the blood. So interesting!!
